OPUN MIC NIGHT is a gathering of creatives to discover the fun of punning-on-demand, improv, writing, and sharing work, and meeting other like-minds in a casual, 'low-stakes' environment.

This free community event on the first Friday at 5:30 at ColdTowne is about having fun, not (necessarily) being funny!

Our theme for MAY is PRIDE! Celebrating everything that makes you show up fully, authentically, uniquely YOU. 

Optional Dress Code: Loud, proud, and colorful—rainbow patterns.

PHASE 1 - IMPROV (Warm Up)

Warm up facilitated group improv exercises that allow you to try out some wordplay games that may include learning names, rhyming, and puns.

6:00 PM - 6:30 PM

PHASE 2 - WRITING

We'll give you an optional writing prompt to get your creativity flowin' with some lowfi tunes to set the mood. (Bring a notebook and pen or laptop!)

6:30 PM - 7:00 PM

PHASE 3 - OPEN MIC

Share what you wrote, a comedy bit, poem, or short performance.
